An exponent of the generation following that of Arte Povera, Remo Salvadori started working in Milan in the early 1970s.
Since the very beginning, his orientation has been directed towards introspection and the search for the very essence of things. Hence the observation and analysis of everything surrounding him, starting with the more domestic and everyday dimension, then going on to the landscape and the natural environment.
From this premise there came about works in which colour, metal and sound took on importance.
These elements, placed in assonance or in contrast with each other, determine the final appearance of the work and trigger a process of transformation and a different awareness of self in both its creator and its observers.
Salvadori’s is a research taking him towards empathy with the deepest essence of life, where opposites are cancelled out and joined back together in the name of a primitive unity.
“Continuous infinite present” is a ring made by weaving steel threads together. Its circular form, a topos in the artist’s linguistic universe, communicates a powerful compressed energy, harkening back to an esoteric, mysterious vision, reconnecting with the hermetic thought running through the whole of modern art, starting with the work of Marcel Duchamp.
